I didnt know anything about music buisness so honestly it was pretty cool having a clean slate going in. I really enjoyed the group projects and how engaging the class was, it really helped me pay attention better. I feel like there is still a whole world of information that i have yet to learn but it excites me to be able to go on that journey and im glad i had this class to create a solid foundation. I applied some marketing strategies to my tiktok videos and they didnt do well:/ but that just means i have so many other things to try out and see if those work better instead. although being more consistent on social media has proven to work slowly but surely. it feels nice to see kind of a “proof of concept

Prior to this session, I knew very little about the music industry. WES is an excellent teacher and mentor, and it is a pleasure to collaborate with him. I am optimistic about my next business meetings.

Before I took his class I knew a little bit about music business but not enough at all. If it was my time to to step to the plate in this business I would not have had the knowledge necessary to be a happy Songwriter/Artist. I enjoyed the insight that was given and the knowledge about the different aspects of the business that will help you be able to understand what you are signing up for. This class really gave me a understanding on not only the business that already set in the game but how to have my person business set up as an songwriter/artist. I feel way more Knowledgeable now than I did when I began the class. It changed my perspective about how I should approach the business and what to look forward to, the good and the bad. I definitely think JAMS ATL was worth the money.

My knowledge was very low and I think I was in the dark on so many things and how they worked. What I enjoyed most was my teacher, C Wes is top teacher I ever had and I appreciate the culptivating energy he brought to class everyday. Everyday was a new gym, I could go home and apply to real life. I feel conflicted, on one hand, im happy I completed the course but on the other hand im going to miss having class with my teacher and classmates. The gems I learned was definitely worth the money, I feel miles ahead of where I would be if I hadn’t have attended this class. Yes, I will be using the 3 C’s for every project I ever make from here on out.

I felt pretty ignorant to what goes on behind the scenes…the transparency…I feel like I have a decent amount of knowledge but there's always room to know more…definitely…I have a more clear idea of what direction I want to take and how to get there

I can confidently say that I have a lot more knowledge of the music business that I had before I started this course. Our class was a great environment. Honestly, I do think what I enjoyed. The most was all of the information that I was able to learn, but the creative exercises were also very enjoyable. I feel more confident in the decisions that I make going forward in my career. I don’t feel like it will be easy for a record label to take advantage  of me because of some of the stuff I’ve learned here.

Before we started working together I felt like handling the business in music was necessary and went about following the business to the best of my knowledge but had a few loose ends that this class helped me tighten up on. I enjoyed learning and performing. Now that the course is complete I feel 100 percent comfortable approaching anyone im working with with contracts and like I have a solid marketing plan or foundation for all my future projects. I definitely feel like I got my money's worth. Not yet. Only bc I plan on implementing my plans after graduation

I had some understanding of the music business, but not to the extent that we went over in class. Already having a business, I knew the information about that part, but everything else was brand new information. Collaborate at all costs! I have been introduced to some incredibly talented individuals and I think that opening the door to work more now with the business knowledge, I can worry less about who to trust. I feel like I have a better understanding of what I need to do moving forward, I still think there are a ton of subjects that we could go in depth on, but in 7 weeks I gained a tremendous amount of knowledge that will jump start my future. ABSOLUTELY worth every penny! I have been working with some of the younger artists and connecting with them building the relationships to earn their trust for future collaborations.

I felt like I didn’t know much of anything besides writing lyrics to a hiphop/rap instrumental. What I enjoyed most is meeting the new producers and getting to perform a song in the first week of class. I’m definitely not wet behind the ears anymore and know some key factors important enough to help the longevity of my music career. I would say it’s worth the money, I wouldn’t have brought myself to learn myself so I’m glad you taught us very important decisions when marketing our music. NOW I KNOW I NEED TO MARKET WITH VISUALS BEFORE DROPPING MY ALBUM.

You love making music, but let’s face it, there are too many obstacles. Juggling personal life, family, and a passion for music can be challenging. If you don’t figure out how to manage what’s important, your career will end before it begins.

Most independent artists lack the resources, business skills, and patience to promote their music effectively. “What’s the best route…?” and “How do I start?” are common questions. If you don’t get answers, you will keep putting off important tasks that could create real momentum.

JAMS ATL specializes in helping independent artists and musicians reach the next level. You can take courses, receive 1 + 1 coaching, and build a vast network of collaborators who are just as passionate as you. We know the struggles faced by many independent artists firsthand. Let’s collaborate on a plan designed just for you.
